We are seeking a Wardrobe Supervisor to join the Metropolitan Opera’s wardrobe team, responsible for supporting our opera productions.
This full-time role offers guaranteed employment for 49 weeks annually, including a five-week paid summer vacation. During the 32-week opera season, work hours typically exceed 50 hours per week, with shifts on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Off-season hours are lighter.
Employment terms are governed by the Met’s collective bargaining agreement with Local 764.
The Wardrobe Supervisor will oversee the dressing area for Ladies Solo Artists.
The ideal candidate:
* Has previous supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment
* Possesses excellent communication skills and is proficient with technology
* Demonstrates poise and professionalism in high-pressure settings
* Works effectively with diverse performers, crew, and personalities
