Job summary

Kentucky Blood Center in Lexington, KY is seeking a Communications & Marketing Intern for Summer 2027 (May 11–Aug 20). This paid internship pays $12/hour up to 15 hours/week, with class credit available.

Collaborate with the communications team to develop video, social media and marketing content that visually communicates KBC's mission of providing lifesaving blood products to hospitals across the Commonwealth.

Qualifications

• A background in video production and social media content creation.
• Experience in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, specifically Premiere Pro.
• Photoshop and After Effects are ideal but not mandatory.
• Working knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat).
• Strong time management, initiative, resourcefulness and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Shoot, edit and produce videos for the KBC’s digital platforms.
• Create short videos for social media platforms.
• Assist with storytelling strategies for marketing content.
• Interview donors and recipients.
• Support the Marketing Production Designer with printed marketing materials.
