Optimas is seeking motivated individuals to join its 2-Year Thread Roller Operator Apprenticeship Program in Wood Dale, IL. This paid, hands-on training develops the skills needed to become a Thread Roller Operator, with on-the-job mentorship and progressive skill development.

No prior thread rolling experience required; you will learn machine setup, operation, measurements, quality checks, and safety, with potential promotion to a Thread Roller Set-Up Operator upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform basic math and read measurements.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills are expected.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to safely set up and operate thread rolling machines.
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Use measuring equipment to verify product dimensions.
• Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production requirements.
• Complete quality and production documentation.
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Participate in all required apprenticeship training.
• Work effectively with trainers, supervisors, and team members.
