Job summary

Micron Technology invites applicants to join a Technician Apprentice program in Virginia. This earn-and-learn role blends hands-on maintenance of fab equipment and facilities systems with safety training, mentorship, and progression toward long-term careers in semiconductor manufacturing.

Apprentices will gain exposure to AI-enabled tools and data-driven approaches, supporting either equipment handling or facilities infrastructure. Final placement depends on performance and business need.

Qualifications

• Coursework or hands-on exposure to electronics, electricity, HVAC, instrumentation, mechatronics, or industrial systems.
• Basic understanding of AC/DC electrical fundamentals.
• Exposure to manufacturing, maintenance, military technical training, or lab environments.
• Familiarity with reading schematics, drawings, or technical manuals.
• Interest in semiconductor manufacturing or critical infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all registered apprenticeship guidelines and program requirements.
• Complete safety training and follow safety policies.
• Demonstrate safety culture through audits and reporting.
• Collaborate with Production, Shift Technicians, Engineers, and Facilities teams.
• Monitor system performance and respond to alarms or faults.
• Assist with preventative maintenance on equipment or systems.
• Document work performed and equipment status accurately.
• Develop independence and contribute to continuous improvement.
