Job summary

Defense Finance and Accounting Service is offering a PAID summer internship under the Pathways Program for law students in the United States. The internship runs May through August and requires enrollment in ABA-accredited law programs with a minimum 2.5 GPA, and submission of transcripts.

Selected candidates will perform legal research, assist with memoranda and document preparation, and communicate with supervising attorneys as part of the program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in law school pursuing JD or LL.B in ABA-accredited university.
• Transcript or proof of enrollment must be submitted with application.
• Q: GPA at least 2.5 on 4.0 scale; maintain through appointment.

Responsibilities

• Perform legal research and analyze laws, facts, and precedents.
• Assist with preparation of legal memoranda.
• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and responding to inquiries on legal matters.
