Jill's House in Vienna, VA is seeking a Summer Intern to gain hands-on experience providing direct care to children and adults with intellectual disabilities while growing spiritually.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a college degree.
• Vibrant faith in Jesus Christ and a passion for serving God and others.
• Patient, compassionate demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Must enjoy working with clients with intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and engage in physical activities.
• Must affirm the McLean Bible Church Vision and Standards of Christian Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of 1-4 clients through chapel, art, music, gym, and swimming.
• Support clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Provide individualized care based on service plans.
• Collaborate to create a safe, loving environment for each client.
• Document important details related to each client’s stay.
