Job summary

HCSC is offering a five-week paid internship that can be in Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX. The Associate Intern will participate in HCSC’s internship program, engage with healthcare and business operations, and work with mentors to develop foundational business and technical skills.

The role involves supporting daily team activities, contributing to a summer project with milestones, attending orientations and workshops, and adhering to HIPAA and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree; rising junior in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, computer science or economics.
• Graduation date between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Available for the full duration of the paid summer program.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day team activities and contribute to research, data gathering, and light analysis under mentor guidance.
• Contribute to a defined summer project with structured milestones, mentor check-ins, and manager feedback.
• Attend intern orientation, professional development workshops, and networking events for early-career exploration.
• Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and other applicable policies.
