Job summary

Troy 30C will provide paid training to enable applicant to take testing to obtain school bus permit. Safely transport students daily to and from school and activities, under the supervision of the Director of Transportation Services or designee.

The role requires 21+ years of age, a valid Illinois CDL or eligibility verification, a valid Illinois School Bus Permit or eligibility, and successful completion of background and medical screenings, with ongoing safety monitoring during transit.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid Illinois Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or verification from Secretary of State.
• Valid Illinois School Bus Permit or verification from Secretary of State.
• Pre-placement medical exam, including drug/alcohol screening and TB clearance.
• Fingerprint/background clearance including FBI.
• Pass CDL medical certificate and FMCSA Medical Examination as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport authorized students daily to and from school and extracurricular activities.
• Monitor passengers during transit to maintain safety and report discipline problems.
• Follow district policies and procedures for discipline and safety.
• Complete mandated training and maintain required certifications.
