Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program and working toward internship or practicum requirements.
• Will fulfill higher education coursework requirements during the paid residency.
• Commitment to five school days per week, eight hours per day during the Spring Residency.

Responsibilities

• Receive observations with written feedback per the syllabus from the MPS Building Principal.
• Co-plan, co-teach and assess student progress with team members daily toward state standards.
• Attend regular coaching sessions with the Lead/Mentor Teacher on lesson planning, instruction, and assessment.
• Maintain clear communication with campus and community stakeholders.
• Support students’ skill development aligned to the MPS Portrait of a Graduate.
• Assist with other duties as assigned to the Mesa Public Schools area.
