Job summary

Labcorp’s Quality Assurance Team in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to support risk management and change-control activities. This paid 11-week internship offers hands-on experience within a global leader in laboratory services, and exposure to US/EU medical device regulations and QMS standards.

The role emphasizes data analysis, collaboration with stakeholders, and ongoing learning in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Life Sciences or Engineering.
• Interest in Quality Assurance and Medical Devices.
• Eagerness to learn US, EU medical device regulations and QMS standards.
• Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Quality Engineering intern will work on projects related to maintenance and improvement of risk management files, and engineering change controls.
• Review past complaints and utilize statistical tools to analyze the historical data.
• Execute project to categorize complaints by risk levels for continuous improvement.
• Assist quality leads to identify gaps and improve the processes as identified.
• Assist supplier quality engineer to identify gaps and maintain supplier files as needed.
• Assist in Quality Assurance, CLIA Laboratory Quality or Quality Engineering projects as needed.
• Participate in Post-Market Surveillance data analysis.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
