Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an Associate’s degree program or higher.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles.

• Must maintain full-time graduate status taking 9+ credit hours per semester before and after internship.
• Must maintain full-time undergraduate status taking 12+ credit hours per semester before and after internship.

Responsibilities

• Observe development plan reviews, rezoning applications, subdivision plats and permit applications.
• Prepare and maintain daily project activity documentation.
• Communicate with VDOT staff and external contacts to resolve issues.
• Interpret policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance on testing equipment and handle material samples.
