Job summary

National Restaurant Association invites driven students and recent graduates to join its Public Affairs internship in Washington, DC. The role offers exposure to Government Relations, Public Policy, and Grassroots, with work on Federal, State, and Local legislation and events.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or current student in Government Affairs, Public Policy, Political Science, Business, Communications, or related area.
• Interest or experience in government, policy, or public affairs preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support Public Affairs team to achieve Association goals.
• Assist with research and tracking of legislation at federal, state, and local levels.
• Provide logistical support for the department and events.
• Draft newsletters and summarize policy updates for members.
• Coordinate with member companies and state restaurant associations.
