Grossman Solutions, in collaboration with Battleground NY, is hiring Campaign Canvassers to engage voters in Rockland/Westchester counties for Democratic candidates in NY-17. The role is field-based with training provided and requires travel within the county and district.

Wages start at $25 per hour. Full-time canvassers working 40 hours a week receive a $125 weekly health stipend. Prior canvass, sales, or outreach experience is helpful; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in canvass, sales, or community outreach is preferred.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while canvassing.
• Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the county and district.
• Comfort with using a smartphone/tablet and a database app.
• Ability to follow scripts and meet daily goals.
• Willingness to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Successfully complete required training.

• Accurately enter data collected from voters into a database on a mobile device/tablet.
• Participate in phone banking to follow up with voters.

Title: Paid Political Canvasser - BGNY

Location: Rockland County, New York

Grossman Solutions, working with Battleground NY, is hiring Campaign Canvassers to talk with voters in an outreach campaign in support of the Democratic House candidates in New York’s 17th Congressional District. This role will be based in Rockland and Westchester Counties.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, engaging, driven and wants to make a difference in their community. If you are a people-person and you love a fast-paced environment, then this job is for you.

We are hiring Canvassers at the rate of $25 per hour. Full-time canvassers completing 40 hours a week will also receive a $125/week health stipend (=$28/hr approx equivalent).

This position is ideal for someone with prior canvass, sales, or community outreach experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Successfully complete required training
• Use scripts to communicate with members of the community
• Talk with voters through door-to-door canvassing about politics and encouraging them to vote
• Accurately enter data collected from voters into database on a mobile device/tablet
• Participate in phone banking to follow up with voters about your conversations with them
• Carefully complete daily reports
• Represent the campaign with the highest degree of professionalism and ethical conduct
• Participate in ongoing training sessions and team meetings

Location

Canvassers will work in the field and be based out of our office in Rockland County. Canvassers will be required to travel throughout the county and congressional district.
