Job summary

Huntsville Hospital offers a Pharmacy Technician Training Program, a 10-week paid initiative to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to become successful pharmacy technicians.

Participants will register with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy within 60 days of hire, aim for national certification (PTCB or ExCPT) after completion, and gain hands-on experience across inpatient, sterile products, and outpatient areas at Huntsville Hospital.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math applications and analyses required.

Responsibilities

• Practical training across inpatient care at Huntsville Hospital Main or Women's & Children's, Sterile Products, Outpatient Prescription Processing, Mail Order, and Transitions of Care.
• Assist pharmacists in providing optimal drug therapy for patients during the program.
