Village of Savoy Fire Department is inviting applications for Paid-On-Call Firefighter positions. We seek motivated, dependable individuals committed to emergency response, training and teamwork.

This is ideal for certified firefighters, EMTs, fire/EMS students, or anyone pursuing a fire service career. The role involves responding to emergencies as available; compensation is provided per call, with additional benefits including a free recreation center membership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 19 years of age.
• Possess a valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Be legally eligible to work in the State of Illinois.
• Successfully pass a criminal background investigation.
• Successfully pass a medical evaluation (NFPA 1582 compliant).
• Successfully pass a physical ability/agility assessment.
• Meet or be eligible to meet Illinois OSFM Firefighter certification requirements.
• Must live within 15 minutes of the Village of Savoy Fire Department located at 106 W. Tomaras Ave. Savoy, IL 61874.

The Village of Savoy Fire Department (SFD) is currently accepting applications for Paid-On-Call (POC) Firefighter positions. We are seeking motivated, dependable individuals committed to serving the community through emergency response, training, and teamwork. Paid-On-Call Firefighters

• Respond to emergency incidents as available
• Compensation provided per call, training, or assignment in accordance with Village policy

Minimum Qualifications

1. Be at least 19 years of age
2. Possess a valid Illinois driver’s license
3. Be legally eligible to work in the State of Illinois
4. Successfully pass a criminal background investigation

6. Successfully pass a physical ability/agility assessment
7. Meet or be eligible to meet Illinois Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) Firefighter certification requirements

Compensation and Benefits

The rate of pay for this position starts at $16.00 per hour; rate commensurate with certifications. Additionally, the Village offers free individual membership to the Village’s Recreation Center.
