The Roy Howard Community Journalism Center (RHCJC) is seeking motivated college students for a paid Multimedia Journalism Internship. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a college/university student (not USM) pursuing journalism, communication, digital media, public relations, marketing, or related field.
• Strong interest in multimedia storytelling, community journalism, digital content creation, or audience engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research, report, write, photograph, and/or produce multimedia stories for local communities.
• Capture and edit photography and video content for digital, broadcast, and social media platforms.
• Create digital content for websites, newsletters, social media, and audience engagement initiatives.
• Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, audience interaction, and performance monitoring.
• Conduct interviews and gather information from community members and leaders.
• Collaborate with staff, student employees, and other interns on multimedia storytelling projects.
