A community mental health organization is seeking Mental Health Interns. This role is designed for first and second-year Masters level students. First-year interns are unpaid, while second-year interns are compensated at $13.00/hour. Qualifications
Working toward a Masters degree in social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy.
Be in the first or second year of an accredited masters level mental health program.
Must pass a criminal background check if working with vulnerable populations.
Must comply with annual TB tests and Flu and Covid immunizations.
Responsibilities
Diagnose mental health and substance-related conditions using the DSM V.
Conduct individual, family, and group therapy as assigned.
Develop rapport with clients while maintaining healthy boundaries.
Document all incidents immediately and report as required.
Complete accurate and thorough client reports in required time frames.
