Job summary

Marvin Composites in Fargo, ND is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team on-site. You will work with the Mechanical Engineering team to improve and support projects focused on existing custom equipment, facility improvements, and safety initiatives.

This paid internship offers hands-on design, fabrication, and installation exposure, plus cross-functional collaboration and real-world impact. You’ll lead projects from CAD design to hands-on implementation, gain exposure to safety

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical proficiency and hands-on skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support upgrades to custom production equipment and throughout the facility.
• Use Creo 3D CAD software for designing, printmaking, 3D printing, and sheet metal fabrication files
• Collaborate with automation and controls teams to implement projects involving automated controls and mechanical components
• Improve machine guarding and safety control systems and processes to ensure team safety
• Hands-on projects involving design installation, fabrication, welding, drilling/tapping holes, and basic machining
