Job summary

Gold Bond Building Products is seeking a motivated Manufacturing Intern for a paid summer program starting in May 2027 in Baltimore, MD. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to production, quality control, process improvement, and safety protocols within a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include assisting day-to-day operations, collaborating with safety, quality and production teams, and documenting data related to production metrics. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in engineering, business, or manufacturing.
• Strong academic background in manufacturing processes or operations management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work with all levels of management in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Travel may be required up to 10% per internship period.
• Physical ability to access all plant areas and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Hybrid work is ineligible.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day manufacturing operations under guidance.
• Participate in production and manufacturing activities to gain experience.
• Work with safety, quality, and production on concerns and opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
• Document and analyze data related to production and quality metrics.
• Engage in training sessions and workshops to expand knowledge.
• Shadow management roles for hands-on learning and perform duties as assigned.
