Job summary

Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum offers a paid Library and Archives internship designed for full-time college students. The program runs up to 25 hours per week for 12 weeks, with the possibility of schedule adjustments based on university requirements.

Interns gain hands-on experience processing and digitizing archival materials and creating metadata in a museum setting. Minimum requirements include pursuing a master’s degree or higher in a related field; preferred candidates will have

Qualifications

• Working toward a master’s degree or higher in library and information science, public history, museum studies, history, or related field
• Preferred: experience handling fragile archival materials and digitizing archival materials
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities

• Process archival collection materials
• Rehouse and label collection materials
• Digitize print and/or manuscript materials
• Create descriptive metadata for digitized content
• Upload content into digital asset management system
• Assist with collection maintenance
