Job summary

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum offers a Library and Archives internship designed for a 25-hour-per-week commitment over 12 weeks, with supervisor-led scheduling (Mon–Thu, 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST).

The intern will help process, rehouse, and digitize materials to preserve and broaden access to the collection. Eligibility requires pursuing a master’s degree in a relevant field; preferred candidates have experience with archival processing, digitization, CONTENTdm or similar DAM, and

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a master's degree in library and information science, public history, museum studies, or history.
  • Preferred experience with archival processing and digitizing materials.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and metadata creation.

Responsibilities

  • Process archival collection materials.
  • Rehouse and label collection materials.
  • Digitize print and/or manuscript materials.
  • Create descriptive metadata for digitized content.
  • Upload content into a digital asset management system.
  • Assist with collection maintenance.
