Job summary

PROtect, LLC in Laurel, MT is offering an Environmental Monitoring & Mitigation Apprentice program. You will gain hands-on LDAR and emissions-monitoring experience at industrial facilities, with on-the-job training and progression toward higher technician levels.

The role emphasizes safety, outdoor work, and data collection with EPA Method 21 compliance. All qualified applicants start with paid training in a structured apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills including Word & Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor emissions using portable analyzers at industrial sites.
• Perform LDAR monitoring following EPA Method 21.
• Calibrate monitoring equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Identify leaks and apply process leak tags.
• Upload daily monitoring data and compile emissions reports.
• Communicate findings with site personnel.
• Follow safety policies and report incidents or near-misses.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
