Job summary

Westfield Specialty Internship Program is a paid, ten-week summer internship designed to give students firsthand insight into the insurance business, with daily learning, skill development, and mentorship. The 2027 program runs from June 7 to August 13.

Interns join the Information Technology team in Chicago, IL or Berkeley Heights, NJ, work on real projects, and are exposed to training, mentoring, and leadership interactions. Effective for future full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Undergraduate or Masters in CS/IT/IS or related programs.
• Minimum GPA 3.2 required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze technical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross functional IT teams to implement solutions
• Develop digital solutions
• Create, test and roll out solutions to improve the user experience on digital channels
• Work on a software or systems engineering team to build, code and automate applications
• Design and implement systems for network, storage, public and private cloud
• Attend team meetings, participate in discussions, and offer insights on process improvement.
