Modulnova San Jose is seeking a motivated Interior Design Intern to gain hands-on experience in luxury residential interior design, client communication, design sales, and project execution in the Bay Area showroom.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or current students with strong design fundamentals, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. The internship includes training in space planning, concept development, and showroom client interaction.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or student in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field.
  • Strong design fundamentals and visual sense.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Interest in both design and sales.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with whole-home residential interior design projects.
  • Develop kitchen, cabinetry, and interior design concepts.
  • Assist with space planning, floor plans, elevations, and 3D presentations.
  • Assist with material, finish, furniture, and fixture selections.
  • Welcome and communicate with clients in showroom.
  • Understand clients' needs, preferences, lifestyle, and budget.
  • Present design concepts and Italian cabinetry solutions.
  • Assist with proposals, quotations, and the sales process.
  • Communicate with designers, clients, vendors, and project partners.
  • Assist with project coordination from design development through installation.
  • Review dimensions, drawings, materials, and specifications carefully.
  • Help identify and solve design and project execution issues.
  • Stay current with new, innovative, and cutting-edge interior design trends.

Job description

We are a Bay Area company specializing in high-end Italian cabinetry and whole-home interior design. Our 13,000 sq. ft. showroom showcases premium Italian kitchen, cabinetry, and living solutions.

We are looking for a motivated and talented Interior Design Intern to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career designer who wants to gain hands-on experience in interior design, client communication, design sales, and project execution.

What You Will Do
  • Assist with whole-home residential interior design projects
