Job summary

WCG Construction offers a paid internship designed for college students to gain hands-on construction knowledge in a hybrid field/office setting on the Front Range of Colorado.

Interns will work with Project Managers and Superintendents, learn budgeting, subcontracts, and change orders in Procore, and develop skills in scheduling, submittals, and safety while supporting project teams.

Qualifications

• Be eligible to work in the United States for any employer.
• Currently enrolled as a full-time student in a construction management program or related field.
• 2.5 GPA or higher.
• Able to pass a post-offer background check and/or drug test.
• Able to complete the full internship (3 or 6 months).
• General knowledge of construction principles/processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe/Bluebeam; Procore experience is helpful.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, planning, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of construction safety.
• Possess a valid Driver's License with ability to travel locally.
• Relocation not offered; local Colorado candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily field operations and subcontractor coordination.
• Help with ordering materials, supplies, and coordinating deliveries.
• Learn job budgeting by verifying subcontractor/supplier scopes, drafting subcontracts and purchase orders, and creating change events in Procore.
• Aid in monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and providing regular status reports; distribute submittals and update logs in Procore.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following company procedures and regulations.
