Job summary

APCO is seeking a senior or recent graduate for its full-time paid internship in Washington, DC. The program offers hands-on HR experience in talent management, organizational support, and communications.

You will join a hybrid environment with a company laptop provided to support both home and office work. The internship runs January to May 2027 with a fixed hourly pay and a Friday deadline for applications.

Qualifications

• Recent college graduate or senior in class standing.
• Majors: human resources management, business, or learning technology.
• Collaborative team player who can work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to maintain confidential information at all times.
• Strong attention to organizational and grammatical detail.
• Experience with Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Teams.
• Available to work 40 hours per week.
• US work authorization; CPT/OPT not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Support HR across functions, including employee programs and data reporting.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding in HRIS VIA.
• Provide support to Employee Resource Groups.
• Create educational materials and resources for employees.
• Perform administrative tasks: data entry, filing, contracts/POs, invoices.
• Help prepare communications, presentations, and HR reports.
