Job summary

EmblemHealth invites applications for a 10-week Actuarial Analytics Internship in New York. You will support medical expense analyses, pricing, data modeling and project forecasting while presenting statistical information to cross-functional teams.

The program runs 40 hours per week at $30/hour, with a start in June 2027 and completion in August 2027. Candidates pursuing math, stats, econ, or healthcare degrees with strong analytics are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, healthcare or related field.
• 0–1+ years of relevant, professional work experience and/or education.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with good communication.
• Experience with healthcare data and MS Office; Tableau/Power BI a plus.
• Exposure to SQL, SAS, Python or similar.

Responsibilities

• Support actuarial analyses for medical expense analyses and pricing.
• Present statistical information to support pricing, product development and planning.
• Administer policies; monitor results and provide feedback.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze projection models.
• Collaborate with leaders to identify information needs.
