Job summary

Capital District Physicians Health Plan Inc invites motivated students to join a 10-week paid Summer College Internship Program in New York. Interns will be mentored by managers, work on meaningful healthcare analytics projects, and participate in development workshops focused on business concepts.

Interns may explore tracks across analytics, data, and non-technical/technical areas, with up to 40 hours per week and a Monday start in June.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Extract, validate, and analyze healthcare data (claims, enrollment, provider, quality).
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for leadership and operations.
• Document requirements, definitions, and methods; translate findings into actionable summaries.
