Job summary

The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York invites undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the Fall 2025 Graphic Design Internship. This semester-long paid program is hybrid, with some onsite work, and runs for 10–12 weeks at 16–21 hours per week, totaling 200 hours.

Interns will assist the Graphic Design Department on projects ranging from small designs to trimming wall labels, and will attend meetings to observe internal processes.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Adobe design suite and strong typographic skills.
• Enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in accredited program.
• Must have completed at least one year of coursework; freshmen not eligible.
• Interest in art/history encouraged; all majors may apply.
• Previous museum experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Graphic Design Department with design tasks and trimming wall labels.
