Job summary
The Arkansas State Golf Association (ASGA) is seeking a Boatwright Intern for a 3-month internship in golf administration in Little Rock, AR. You will assist with State Championships for Men, Women and Juniors, USGA qualifying, and ASGA programs, while gaining experience in tournament management and staff operations.
Responsibilities include website updates, data entry, mailings, site visits, and long hours during championship days.
Qualifications
- College degree in progress or completed.
- Willingness to travel within the state with reliable transportation.
- Excellent communications and public relations skills.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills.
- Experience in photography, video, social media and related programs preferred.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Interest in sports administration or related field.
- Golf background or strong interest in golf preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate State Championships for Men, Women and Juniors.
- Assist with USGA qualifying and ASGA programs.
- Update the ASGA website; data entry and mailings.
- Course site visits and tournament setup.
- Learn Golf Genius and GHIN software.
- Work as ASGA staff member during the internship.
