Job summary

Shine BrightX LLC seeks a Civil Engineering student with a geotechnical, civil, and structural focus to support design calculations and preliminary foundation designs for various projects. The role emphasizes applying standard engineering techniques and developing professional judgment under supervision.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with EIT eligibility, proficient in Microsoft Office, and familiar with AutoCAD, LPILE, GROUP, SAP2000, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in progress with geotechnical, civil, and structural focus.
• EIT eligible preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to work effectively within a team environment.
• Preference for experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, LPILE, GROUP, SAP2000, RISA 3D, Enercalc, and MathCAD.
• Preference for knowledge of design standards including ASCE, IBC, ACI, AISC, FHWA, AASHTO, NESC, and ASTM.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out tasks, developing judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
• Exercise judgment in developing work details and making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Perform and prepare design calculations and analysis for specialty foundation types including Helical Piles, Drilled Shafts, Micropiles, Rock and Soil Anchors, and Driven Piles.
• Prepare preliminary foundation designs for project bidding.
• Work under supervision of senior-level team members.
