Job summary

SkyWest Airlines Flight Operations Training is seeking interns for a paid internship at the SLC Training Center. The role involves reviewing new hire pilots’ logbooks to verify experience meets training requirements, with hands-on exposure to SkyWest training activities.

Interns receive travel benefits with SkyWest and major partners and will observe pilot training, ground sessions, and simulator sessions as part of the program. Eight hours per week commitment is expected.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Paid Internship $27.50 per hour.
• Must live near Salt Lake City, UT (onsite at SLC Training Facility).
• Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings.
• English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE) on Airman Certificate.
• Hold a current Certified Flight Instructor Certificate.
• Be a U.S. citizen or able to show proof of right to work in the U.S.
• Must be available to work on Tuesdays.
• Flight time requirements: 400–1200 total flight time; 100 hours dual given.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High personal reliability.
• Familiar with pilot logbook requirements and FAA check rides.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director Training in ensuring that SkyWest new hire pilots meet experience requirements for the ATP certificate.
• Review new hire pilots logbooks, certificates, endorsements, transcripts to ensure compliance with 61.159 and 61.160.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies regarding experience requirements.
• Communicate issues to leadership for resolution.
