Job summary

AltaGas Ltd. is seeking Accounting & Finance Interns for a paid summer internship in Washington. The positions offer exposure to financial analysis, data validation, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking with mentors and real-world projects.

Starting June 1, 2027 for three months, interns will build Excel-driven reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders while gaining cross-functional collaboration experience in a dynamic energy utilities environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics.
• Strong Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial analysis, reporting, and data validation activities.
• Support accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and other materials for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret financial information.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency through automation or best practices.
