Job summary

Tippmann Construction is seeking a Design Intern to assist the design team in understanding client needs and translating them into site and facility design options. You will work with CAD, 3D modeling, and BIM tools to develop design concepts and assist with cost estimates during the sales cycle and construction process.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or related drafting technology.
• Understanding of 3D Modeling and BIM concepts.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in team settings.
• Attention to detail and results-oriented.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel).
• Familiarity with facility/site design incl. architectural/mechanical/civil systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist design team and sales leadership to capture client needs and translate them into site and facility design options.
• Develop site and facility design ideas using CAD, 3D modeling, and BIM tools.
• Provide information to Estimating for project costs, including options and allowances.
• Modify design options as requested to resolve design elements.
• Support project management teams during construction.
