Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking highly motivated Environmental Interns for our Summer 2027 intern program out of our Concord, CA Office. This is a paid full-time position. Anticipated duration will be from June through August 2027 (flexible).

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists, with responsibilities including field sampling, QA/QC, and report preparation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology or Environmental Science.
• Strong academic record and interest in environmental internships.
• Ability to apply technical concepts to field work and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field sampling (groundwater, soil, soil vapor) and QA/QC.
• Prepare reports, workplans and summary documents for projects.
• Support multiple projects concurrently and manage priorities.
• Perform field work oversight such as soil excavation and remediation tasks.
• Assist engineers, scientists, and technologists as needed.
