Job summary

Gerdau invites college students to join the G.Start internship program. This paid, project-focused program develops interns for future technical and managerial positions within a global steel company.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates entering junior or senior year pursuing Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related fields, with strong GPAs and leadership experience. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate entering Junior or Senior year.
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or related from a recognized accredited college or university.
• Record of high academic achievement (Minimum GPA 2.5, preferred GPA 3.0 or higher).
• Well-rounded applicants with leadership roles in student organizations or extra-curricular activities.
• Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the country of hire without requiring current or future sponsorship for employment.
• Candidates must demonstrate leadership potential, strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, and problem-solving skill.
