Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• GPA 3.0+; ability to accept full-time offer.
• Experience with CAD design software; AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
• Experience with PLC programming preferred.
• Safety system design is a plus.
• Familiarity with drafting/drawing standards is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with low voltage system design and electrical schematics is a plus.
• Basic understanding of PLC systems with remote I/O is a plus.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Vault is a plus.
• Understanding of ERP systems (SAP or QAD) is a plus.
• Related construction education or training preferred.
• Related training on relevant software or technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and prototype new automated industrial machinery.
• Design and program safety controllers/systems.
• Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop PLC control software using Siemens/Emerson software.
• Assist shop personnel with control systems setup.
• Participate in development opportunities that build real-world skills.
• Collaborate and innovate in a team-oriented environment.
