Job summary

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum offers a paid Editorial Internship for current undergraduates and graduates. The internship is designed for up to 25 hours per week over 12 weeks, with pay of $15/hr for bachelor’s students and $18/hr for master’s or higher students.

Responsibilities include assisting the editorial team with research, writing program and exhibit materials, proofreading, social media copy, and attending relevant meetings.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled, credit‑seeking undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in journalism, English, history, or a related field
  • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Assist editorial team members with research for exhibits and programs
  • Help write program and exhibit materials, including program descriptions, photo captions, and artifact labels
  • Assist with the writing and editing of social media posts, website event copy, and internal staff communications
  • Proofread books and other publications in production
  • Attend pertinent meetings that fall within the intern’s schedule
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Museum and its mission
