Job summary

RK&K is seeking a College Intern to join our Pennsylvania Construction Management and Construction Inspection Division. The role includes on-the-job training, mentorship, and exposure to design, field work, and client management from day one.

You will assist with inspection and monitoring of roadway and bridge structures to ensure contract compliance and safety, support with materials tracking and testing, and provide contract management assistance on projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, Environmental Science or related area.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Valid driver's license.
• Classwork in Construction Engineering (preferred).
• Participation in Professional Societies (preferred).
• Applicable prior internship experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management support, including inspection and monitoring of roadway and bridge structures.
• Assist with materials tracking and testing to ensure compliance.
• Provide contract management support for Construction Projects.
• Provide construction management support, including quantity calculations and as-built sketches, constructability reviews and meeting attendance.
• Engage in problem solving to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions.
• Review lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard survey equipment.
