Thornapple Manor in Hastings, MI is offering a Certified Nursing Assistant training class from November 4–20, 2026. The program is hosted on-site, with orientation and class weeks scheduled, and attendees are paid during training.

Upon completing Michigan certification exams and activating CNA credentials, base pay increases to $19.60/hour, with a $2/hour shift differential for night and weekends. Training is fully paid by Thornapple Manor.

Qualifications

• A high school education or equivalent is desired.
• Must be a competency evaluated nursing assistant in accordance with the laws of Michigan, or have passed the State of Michigan Department of Public Health approved Nurse Aide training and deemed competent to work as a nursing assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care to residents following established procedures and directions from supervisors.
• Record activities of daily living into the resident's electronic record.
• Assist with meals, personal care, and activities as assigned while maintaining resident dignity and safety.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards; report changes in residents' condition to the supervising nurse.
• Attend scheduled training, orientation, and mandated OSHA/CDC in-service programs.
