Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking motivated Civil Engineering Interns for our Scott Depot, WV office. This paid full-time summer internship runs roughly June through August 2025, with potential to transition into a full-time role after graduation.

Interns will work under Project Managers and team leaders, collaborating with engineers and technologists on diverse civil projects. Responsibilities include sheet setup, drafting, site layout, grading, and utility design, using AutoCAD, Civil 3D,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, CAD, or related field.
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, detail orientated person.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Honest, fun, hard-working and ready to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
• Support site layout and grading, utility design, cost estimates, bridge and highway design.
• Assist in the preparation of civil construction drawings.
• Use AUTOCAD, Civil-3D, HydroCAD, Microstation, PondPack, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office products.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
