Job summary

Ministry of Justice in the National service seeks an HMPPS Faith and Belief Adviser (Part Time 0.3 FTE). The role is non-operational with line management responsibilities and reports to the Chaplain General and Head of Faith Services.

You will provide faith/belief related guidance inside prisons and support rehabilitation and resettlement on release. This senior representative will work with Chaplains, CFS and Probation colleagues to recruit and retain chaplains, ensure needs of their tradition

Qualifications

• Faith and spiritual leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to advise across prison and probation contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide prison and probation related advice for their faith/belief system.
• Support rehabilitation and resettlement on release into the community and for those under Probation.
• Line management responsibility for chaplains who work across multiple sites.
• Develop and implement recruitment/retention strategies for chaplains with CFS and MoJ Faith Services.
• Collaborate with Chaplains and Faith Services to deliver chaplaincy support and policy guidance.
