Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC is a recognized leader in sustainability services with three divisions across North America. The role focuses on proper offloading, loading, and transfer of waste materials from containers and tractors, while maintaining safety and environmental controls.

Duties include sampling, unloading inbound waste, inspecting equipment, maintaining records, and supporting plant operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and receive detailed instructions by telephone and/or handheld radio.

Responsibilities

• Unload containers and tanker trailers of inbound waste and sample for laboratory analysis.
• Load outbound tanker trailers for disposal and review manifests for compliance.
• Record data on transfers as directed by operations.
• Inspect equipment for malfunctions and coordinate with Engineering or Maintenance as needed.
• Assist with filter press cleaning and general housekeeping in process areas.
• Perform daily and routine plant inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Be physically capable of participating in firefighting training as required.

Job Summary

Role Summary:

Responsible for the proper offloading , loading, and transfer of waste materials from containers, tractor trailers , and within the pl ant. Assist in other operational process es while ensuring safety and environmental controls.

Job Duties:

• Sample , analyze, and unload containers and tank er trailers of inbound waste using appropriate PPE .
• Loading outbound tank er trailers for off-site disposal. Review manifests and other paperwork for compliance and acceptability.
• Obtain material samples from units for laboratory analysis using proper safety measures.
• Visually inspects equipment at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or the need for repairs, adjustments or assistance from the Engineering or Maintenance Department.
• Complete understanding and knowledge of Operation, Safety , and Emergency Procedures.
• Accurately record all necessary data on any transfers made at the direction of operations.
• Assist in filter press cleaning , as needed, to remove filtered materials.
• General housekeeping in process areas and operating areas using prescribed company procedures.
• Perform daily and routine inspections to ensure that our plant is a safe and compliant place to work
• B e physically capable of partaking in firefighting training provided by the Company.
• May be assisting with other units or processes, as required .

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Operator Training Certification from a college or technical school preferred or six months related experience as an operator and/or operations training.
• Open to working Dupont Schedule which included nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and receive detailed instructions by telephone and/or handheld radio.
