Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced commercial truck driver to operate a variety of heavy vehicles across urban and rural routes. You will perform comprehensive pre- and post-trip inspections, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate shipping documents and daily logs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required by role
• Pre-employment criteria including background check, drug screen, and DOT physical
• Must be 21+ and able to obtain TWIC clearance
• Experience with truck driving and DOT regulations preferred
• HazMat endorsements and roll-off experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensures maximum efficiency in achieving or exceeding established goals
• Operate various equipment with GVW >26,001 lbs (including van trailers, tank trailers, straight trucks)
• Performs complete pre- and post-trip inspections including tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, spill kit, gauges, controls
• Maneuvers commercial truck safely in congested city, highway, client job sites
• Complies with truck driving rules and regulations and company policies
• Communicates with and receives direction from office personnel dispatching loads
• Completes all required daily paperwork and vehicle inspection reports while complying with regulations
• Maintain up-to-date training and education for licenses, permits & regulatory information
• Documents and logs work/rest periods and miles spent driving
• Demonstrates safety conscious behaviors and attends training/safety meetings
• Assists with cleaning of facilities, equipment, housekeeping
• After training, assists with training drivers
• Reports defects/accidents/violations and performs other duties as assigned
• Must be able to complete shipping documents accurately and legibly per state/federal regulations

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Ensures maximum efficiency in achieving or exceeding established goals
• Operate various equipment with a GVW >26,001 lbs. (including but not limited to van trailers, tank trailers, & straight trucks)
• Performs complete pre- and post-trip inspections including, but not limited to checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, spill kit, gauges, & controls
• Maneuvers commercial truck safely in congested city, highway, & client job sites
• Complies with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, load securement, parking, & break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Communicates with & receives direction from office personnel dispatching loads
• Completes all required daily paperwork & vehicle inspection reports while complying with all local, state, & federal regulations
• Maintain up to date training & education for licenses, permits & regulatory information specific to job responsibilities
• Documents & logs work / rest periods and miles spent driving
• Demonstrates safety conscious behaviors & attends training / safety meetings
• Assists with the cleaning of company facilities, equipment, & general housekeeping
• After training competency has been verified, assists with training drivers
• Reports defects, accidents, or violations & p erforms other duties as assigned

• This physically strenuous position involves mounting & dismounting a heavy-duty truckmanytimes each day. This position is physically demanding, requiring heavy containers & hoses to be loaded onto a trailer in different scenarios (i.e., from the ground onto a lift gate).
