Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a PACU - Post Anesthesia Care RN for a travel assignment in Billings, MT. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and ACLS/PALS/BLS certifications, with shifts of 10 hours, days, and a 13-week duration.

Responsibilities include observing post-operative patients, creating care plans, monitoring condition changes, and assisting with patient transfers. The travel RN must be able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and manage stress in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand/walk long periods.
• Comfort with a fast-paced environment and diverse patient ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post-anesthesia patients in PACU.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient conditions.
• Monitor for changes in patient status and report to physician.
• Determine when patients are ready to transfer to a room.
