Job summary

Children's of Alabama is seeking a PACU Staff Nurse at our Main Campus. This full-time, day-evening position runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with rotating off days and on-call responsibilities.

The role delivers post-anesthesia care with minimal supervision and requires proficiency with medical equipment, patient records, and computer systems. The ideal candidate has an Associate of Science in Nursing and BLS certification, with Alabama RN licensure or an equivalent

Qualifications

• RN licensure in AL or multi-state equivalent (NLC)
• BLS certification required
• Must use medical equipment, patient records, and computer systems

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate post-anesthesia care for patients in PACU
• Monitor patients closely and respond to changes in condition
• Maintain documentation in electronic health records and reports
• Be prepared for on-call shifts and routing coverage across the unit
