Job summary

Twin Cities Pain Clinic is seeking a Surgical Admission Unit/Post Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse for its Ambulatory Surgery Center in Minnesota. The SAU/PACU RN will lead nursing care, manage patient flow, and supervise care by other staff in a fast-paced ASC.

The role requires MN RN licensure, ACLS/BLS, and 1+ year RN experience in an ambulatory surgical center. Cross-training across pre-procedure, intra-procedure and recovery is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current Minnesota RN license required.
• ACLS and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical nursing in the ASC and plans delivery of care using the nursing process.
• Directs other caregivers in providing patient care.
• Provides pre-operative teaching as needed and manages patient flow through the ASC.
• Administers prescribed medications, applies dressings, and monitors vital signs.
• Maintains confidentiality and contributes to a positive workplace atmosphere.
