Job summary

Orlando Health in Orlando, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Advanced Care Weekend Option. This full-time role offers 3 × 12 shifts per week in the LMH PACU, delivering high‑level care to patients with advanced illness or injury in a fast-paced inpatient setting, with a focus on timely assessment and complex interventions.

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an approved school of nursing, hold a current Florida RN license, and active BLS certification; ACLS, NRP, and PALS may be

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.
• 1 year experience required unless AVP level or above.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical knowledge, skills, and judgement to care for patients requiring complex assessment and therapies, high intensity interventions, and high‑level continuous nursing vigilance.
• Utilizes information and assessment data to anticipate and respond with confidence and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Identifies and prioritizes information to take immediate and decisive evidence‑based, patient‑focused action.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients and interprets electronic displays.
• Responds to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
