Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and care planning. The role requires collaboration with physicians and the broader care team to ensure safety and education for patients.

You will document care according to standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate holds an RN license, ADN with BSN preferred, and CPR/BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.
• Licensed as an RN in state of practice.
• Approved CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Other certification(s) per unit requirements. For example: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and NRP
• May include color blind test (per department guidelines)

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by assessing needs, giving medications and treatments, creating care plans, and documenting care accurately.
• Collaborates with doctors and other healthcare team members to keep patients safe, provide education, and improve quality of care.
• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws practice act.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family instruction.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Uses critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and escalates appropriately through the chain of command.
• Participates the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer review process.
