Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing required.
  • Active RN license in the state is mandatory.
  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.

Yuma Advanced Surgical Suites

Position: PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN)

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Responsibilities include assisting physicians in procedure rooms, managing conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as appropriate. The nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family needs for discharge readiness.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS if required by the center
  • Preferred: 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
